Associate Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and sustain software solutions that align with customer and business goals.

• Implement features and enhancements with minimal oversight.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Diagnose and resolve application defects and technical challenges.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the development process.

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and delivery processes.

• Continuously enhance technical skills and stay updated on modern development practices.

• Provide support to government customers by delivering valuable and impactful digital products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of two years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in Java/J2EE/Spring or Ruby on Rails or a similar object-oriented backend language/framework.

• Front-end experience with React JS, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.

• Familiarity with REST API/service integration.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of software engineering principles and development methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

• Preferred: experience with cloud-native technologies and contemporary development frameworks.

• Preferred: familiarity with Scrum or SAFe Agile methodologies.

• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.

• Preferred: experience with federal government program support.

• Preferred: relevant technical certifications.
