This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Consent to be identified as a SEND expert in the tender submission
• Submit an updated CV along with a brief overview of SEND experience
• Agree to remain identified if the bid advances to the subsequent stage
• Contribute to the design and content of SEND CPD programmes, ensuring alignment with the SEND Code of Practice, current SEND reforms, and the best available evidence
• Conduct quality assurance on materials
• Assist in ensuring the quality of facilitators and associate experts
• Facilitate co-production and user testing involving practitioners, children, young people, and families
• Comprehensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (0–25), EHCPs, and current SEND reforms
• Proven experience in designing or delivering professional development for educational staff
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
• Significant SEND or inclusion experience in educational settings, including roles such as an experienced SENCO, trust or local authority SEND lead, or SEND adviser (Schools strand)
• Senior SEND experience in further education or post-16 settings, such as head of Additional Learning Support, learner support, or inclusion in a college (Further education strand)
• Experience in leading or developing learning support personnel, such as learning support assistants, job coaches, or communication support workers (Further education strand)
• Understanding of Preparation for Adulthood, supported internships, and vocational and work-based learning contexts (Further education strand)
• NPQ for SENCOs or National Award for SEN Co-ordination (desirable)
• Experience in special schools or alternative provision (desirable)
• Experience in specialist post-16 settings (desirable)
• Participation in national or government-funded programmes (desirable)
• Submission of CV and a one-page cover letter outlining suitability and application strand
• Day rate for programme work starting from 2027
• Freelance associate engagement with flexible working days
