
Associate Sales Representative – Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Promote and sell primary care products to healthcare providers within the designated Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley territory.
• Stimulate demand, provide clinical education, and drive sales by creating and executing a strategic business plan for primary care physicians.
• Educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved uses, and the efficacy and safety profiles of products to support appropriate on-label prescribing.
• Achieve sales targets and ensure forecasts and assigned budgets meet or surpass territory expectations.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with primary care healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff.
• Develop and sustain knowledge regarding market trends, demographic data, and managed care information relevant to the territory.
• Encourage the appropriate use of approved primary care products and facilitate payer and community healthcare-provider engagement.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to devise local strategies and business plans.
• Execute targeting plans utilizing promotional, digital, personnel, and analytical resources.
• Navigate business opportunities and challenges by leveraging knowledge of the primary care marketplace, competitors, and industry cross-functional plans.
• Deliver compliant educational programs for healthcare providers.
• Offer strategic and tactical insights to commercial colleagues.
• Prioritize physician engagement through both in-person and virtual communications.
• Address customer product and business needs while maintaining adherence to company ethics and compliance standards.
• Anticipate obstacles and propose responsible solutions.
• Manage customer objections and surpass customer expectations.
• Share exemplary skills with regional colleagues in a training capacity when necessary.
• Utilize emerging technologies to enhance performance.
• Adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards.
• A BS/BA degree is required.
• A minimum of 3+ years of prior sales experience is mandatory for the Sales Representative level.
• A proven track record of success in a professional role, academics, or extracurricular activities is essential.
• A demonstrated history of consistent high performance in a sales-focused role or relevant experience is preferred.
• Previous sales experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or related transferable sales experience is preferred.
• A proven ability to develop long-term relationships is essential.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple clients effectively.
• Ability to conduct oneself ethically and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• A strong understanding of the primary care market and healthcare industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical, healthcare, primary care, or pharmacy industry and clinical skills is preferred.
• Experience with product launches is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the territory and established relationships with key stakeholders is a plus.
• Proficiency in Veeva CRM, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and calendar-based call planning tools is beneficial.
• Marketing or other commercial experience, including an understanding of financial processes, Market Access, project management, and regulatory environments within biotech/pharma is a plus.
• Strong written, organizational, administrative, and communication skills are essential.
• Excellent judgment, decision-making, presentation, and negotiation skills are required.
• Ability to accept feedback and adjust performance accordingly.
• Results-oriented with proven time-management skills.
• Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information effectively.
• Ability to comply with corporate and industry policies and regulations.

• Completion of the full onboarding curriculum, live call certification, and mock objections during training is necessary.
• Significant field travel of approximately 80%, including potential overnight and weekend work, is required.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a complete background check is mandatory.
• Valid licenses and credentialing required to conduct business in the assigned territory.
