This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Promote and sell primary care products to healthcare providers in the designated territory.
• Generate demand, provide clinical education, and enhance sales by crafting, coordinating, and executing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians.
• Inform healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved uses, and the efficacy and safety profiles of products to encourage on-label prescribing.
• Independently drive sales results, achieving or surpassing sales forecasts, assigned budgets, therapeutic goals, and territory expectations.
• Establish and nurture relationships with primary care healthcare professionals and pharmacy personnel.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market trends, demographics, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
• Promote the appropriate use of approved primary care products and facilitate payer and community healthcare provider engagement through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to formulate local strategies and business plans.
• Implement targeting strategies utilizing promotional, digital, personnel, and analytical resources.
• Anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges by leveraging knowledge of the primary care market, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies.
• Deliver specialized education to healthcare providers through programs that adhere to Shionogi guidelines.
• Offer insights to commercial colleagues regarding strategic and tactical planning.
• Prioritize physician engagement through face-to-face and virtual conversations.
• Comprehend customer product and business needs while complying with Shionogi's ethics and compliance standards.
• Identify potential barriers and suggest responsible solutions.
• Address customer objections and strive to exceed customer expectations.
• Share exceptional skills with regional colleagues through training sessions when necessary.
• Utilize emerging technologies and continuously enhance proficiency.
• Adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines.
• A BS/BA degree is required.
• Demonstrated success in a professional setting, academic achievements, or extracurricular activities.
• A minimum of 3+ years of prior sales experience is required for the Sales Representative level.
• A proven history of consistent high performance in a sales-oriented role or relevant experience is preferred.
• Previous sales experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or related fields is preferred.
• Established track record in building long-term relationships.
• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple clients effectively.
• Ability to behave ethically and comply with company policies and applicable laws.
• Strong knowledge of the primary care market and healthcare industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the medical, healthcare, primary care, or pharmacy sectors and clinical skills is preferred.
• Product launch experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the territory and established connections with key stakeholders is a plus.
• Proficiency in Veeva CRM, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and call planning tools is a plus.
• Experience in marketing, financial processes, Market Access, Project Management, and regulatory environments within biotech/pharma is a plus.
• Strong written, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

• Attendance at refresher meetings on product and disease-state updates.
• Significant field travel, approximately 80%, including potential overnight and weekend commitments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Valid licenses and credentialing necessary to conduct business in the assigned territory.
