Associate Professional Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Create and document customized quality plans for specific projects or tasks.

• Develop and uphold standardized quality assurance documentation along with quality metrics.

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to confirm adherence to standards and quality plans.

• Assess process and product quality levels.

• Report findings and escalate any unresolved issues.

• Review work products and suggest solutions or strategies.

• Collect, utilize, and independently analyze defect metrics data.

• Communicate analysis results both verbally and through regular written reports.

• Engage in special projects, external audits, and process enhancements that support quality assurance initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, computer science, or a related field is preferred.

• No prior experience or up to one year in quality assurance, engineering, or management information systems is acceptable.

• Familiarity with quality metrics and techniques for data collection and analysis in the software industry.

• Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, and software development methodologies like Catalyst.

• Knowledge of standard software development methodology assessments, such as SEI/CMM or ISO 9000.

• Experience with software testing science and tools.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Basic skills in personal computers and business solutions software.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting, including remote support.

• Competence in managing change and fulfilling responsibilities within set timelines and budgets.

• Willingness to engage in professional development and quality assurance training.
