Associate Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Identify customer and business challenges through research, analytics, and input from stakeholders

• Engage in discovery initiatives to uncover user needs, workflow obstacles, and potential opportunities

• Convert research insights and product requirements into distinct design opportunities

• Collaborate with senior designers, engineers, and product management to align design choices with user and business outcomes

• Develop integrated solutions for specified features, workflows, or product segments

• Produce annotated wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications that convey software behavior

• Utilize established design-system elements, patterns, and accessibility standards

• Contribute enhancements to shared components and interaction patterns

• Engage in user research and distill findings into actionable design suggestions

• Collaborate with product management and engineering to translate requirements into design specifications and deliverables

• Integrate feedback, research insights, and validation findings into design iterations

• Own designated design projects from exploration through to delivery, with suitable guidance

• Articulate user needs and provide evidence-based design recommendations

• Engage in discussions surrounding priorities, trade-offs, and solution strategies

• Showcase design work, articulate rationale, and incorporate feedback

• Identify risks, inconsistencies, and unresolved inquiries early in the process

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design

• Experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a related discipline

• Portfolio showcasing interaction design, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication of design rationale

• Proficiency in Figma with experience in creating wireframes and interactive prototypes

• Experience working collaboratively with product management and engineering to deliver digital product experiences

• Capability to connect user needs, product specifications, and business context

• Experience leveraging qualitative or quantitative data to guide design choices

• Ability to clarify moderately ambiguous issues with support from partners or senior designers

• Proven ability to design and deliver well-defined features or workflows

• Experience implementing design systems, accessibility guidelines, and validation practices

• Proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, shared libraries, and prototyping

• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the capability to elucidate design decisions and recommendations

• Ability to independently oversee assigned design projects, identify dependencies, and flag risks

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and organizational levels

• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, manage multiple inputs, and seek guidance when necessary

• Familiarity with Figma Make or similar AI-assisted prototyping tools is advantageous
