Associate Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Identify customer and business challenges through research, analytics, and input from stakeholders.

• Engage in discovery sessions to uncover user needs, workflow obstacles, and areas for opportunity.

• Convert research insights and product requirements into well-defined design opportunities.

• Collaborate with senior designers, engineers, and product management to align design choices with user and business outcomes.

• Create cohesive solutions for specified features, workflows, or product domains.

• Develop annotated wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications that effectively communicate software functionality.

• Utilize established design system components, patterns, and accessibility standards.

• Enhance shared components and interaction patterns in collaboration with senior designers and design system owners.

• Take part in user research and distill findings into actionable design recommendations.

• Work alongside product management and engineering to translate needs into design requirements and deliverables.

• Assess solutions for desirability, feasibility, and viability.

• Integrate feedback, research, and validation insights into iterative design processes.

• Manage assigned design tasks from exploration to delivery with appropriate guidance based on work complexity.

• Articulate user needs and present evidence-based design recommendations.

• Engage in discussions regarding priorities, trade-offs, and solution directions.

• Showcase design work, articulate rationale, and factor in user and stakeholder feedback.

• Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, and unresolved questions to facilitate shared decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in design.

• Background in UX, product design, interaction design, or a relevant field.

• Portfolio showcasing interaction design, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to articulate design rationale.

• Proficiency in Figma and experience in creating wireframes and interactive prototypes.

• Experience collaborating with product management and engineering to deliver digital product experiences.

• Ability to bridge user needs, product requirements, and business context.

• Experience utilizing qualitative or quantitative data to guide design choices.

• Capability to clarify moderately ambiguous issues with support from partners or senior designers.

• Proven ability to design and implement well-defined features or workflows.

• Experience in applying design systems, accessibility standards, and validation practices.

• Advanced skills in Figma, including components, variants, shared libraries, and prototyping.

• Strong communication and storytelling abilities to explain design choices and recommendations.

• Competence in independently managing assigned design tasks, identifying dependencies, and addressing risks.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and organizational levels.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, balance various inputs, and seek guidance when necessary.

• A strong curiosity about complex domains and a desire to develop expertise over time.
