Associate Principal Engineer, AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Comprehend clients’ business use cases and technical needs, translating them into detailed technical designs.

• Take ownership of the architecture and technical vision for AI-driven, user-facing applications developed using Python, React, and Generative AI.

• Create scalable, secure, and cost-efficient backend platforms for LLM inference, RAG pipelines, and agent-based orchestration.

• Define frontend architecture and user experience patterns for conversational interfaces, copilots, and intelligent dashboards.

• Lead intricate GenAI workflows that integrate LLMs, tools, APIs, structured data, and user context.

• Set engineering standards for prompt design, model integration, evaluation, and observability.

• Propel GenAI platformization through the development of reusable components, SDKs, and frameworks.

• Collaborate with product, design, data, and business leaders to create scalable technical solutions.

• Review crucial designs and codebases, remove obstacles for teams, and elevate engineering standards.

• Spearhead technical discovery and solutioning for high-impact initiatives and workshops.

• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, compliance, governance, and responsible AI practices.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to expedite delivery while upholding production quality.

• Align decisions with requirements and effectively communicate them to developers.

• Assess solution alternatives and determine the most suitable option for client needs.

• Establish Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) guidelines and benchmarks.

• Draft and review architecture and high-level design documentation.

• Examine architecture and design for extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and NFRs.

• Develop comprehensive solutions and define appropriate technologies, patterns, and frameworks.

• Apply technology integration expertise in various projects.

• Address code and review challenges through systematic root-cause analysis.

• Conduct proofs of concept to validate designs and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of total experience.

• Extensive software engineering experience with a strong focus on Python.

• Demonstrated experience in architecting and delivering production-grade Generative AI applications at scale.

• In-depth knowledge of LLM integration patterns, RAG systems, and AI-driven UX design.

• Strong system design capabilities across backend, frontend, and AI infrastructure layers.

• Experience in defining technical strategy and influencing architecture across teams or pods.

• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of security, privacy, and governance considerations for enterprise AI.

• Ability to translate complex business challenges into robust technical architectures.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders and technical leadership.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
