Associate, Ops, Imports

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Accountable for Imports and various miscellaneous tasks in accordance with the Bank’s internal policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) guidelines.

• Authorize transactions within the processing system across Trade Finance sectors for different business segments.

• Execute transactions in alignment with SOP/Operational Procedures Manuals (OPMs) and Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP), International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP), and International Standby Practices (ISP) requirements.

• Ensure recovery of charges adheres to relevant guidelines.

• Conduct sanction checks on pertinent parties in documentation.

• Manage Commodity Trade Operations documentation.

• Enter and authorize transactions within the system.

• Prepare and authorize necessary SWIFT messages.

• Complete additional tasks assigned by the Team Head.

• Communicate errors and knowledge gaps to the line manager/team to resolve customer service challenges.

• Mitigate revenue loss from uncollected charges.

• Ensure no unresolved reconciliation entries exist in Nostro or internal accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Minimum of 1 to 1.5 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.

• Advanced knowledge of Letters of Guarantee and Letters of Credit.

• Proficient understanding of accounting entries and User Acceptance Testing (UATs).

• Knowledge of amortization principles.

• Strong communication skills, team management, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

• Detail-oriented with good analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills.

• Able to perform under pressure, possess excellent organizational skills, and be a cooperative team player.
