Associate Manager, Health Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Supervise healthcare management services within the designated functional area.

• Lead and cultivate high-performing teams in healthcare management.

• Ensure uniformity in health-related and psycho-social interventions that aid members.

• Achieve financial, operational, and quality goals for the unit.

• Uphold policies and procedures in alignment with NCQA, URAC, state, and federal regulations.

• Implement and oversee best-practice strategies and innovations throughout the continuum of care.

• Manage resources responsible for member identification, care-plan formulation, medical appropriateness, quality-of-care oversight, evaluation, and documentation.

• Potentially oversee an individual caseload.

• Act as a liaison with key business sectors and serve as a primary contact for customers and the Account Team.

• Engage in customer meetings and assist with the onboarding of new clients.

• Evaluate developmental needs and execute team development action plans.

• Foster teamwork, cross-product integration, and a continuum-of-care mindset.

• Spearhead change initiatives and act as a model change agent.

• Collaborate with licensed staff in managing clinical personnel and their activities.

• Provide mentorship to the team regarding practice standards, intervention quality, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a physical or behavioral healthcare environment.

• A minimum of 1 year of management experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in managed care.

• Familiarity with regulations, standards, and policies pertinent to medical management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in health or human services or a closely related field (REQUIRED).

• Certification as a Case Manager (CCM) is preferred.

• Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of the computer is necessary.

• Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for downloads and 3 Mbps for uploads is required.

• WiFi and satellite internet connections are not acceptable.

• A quiet, secure, and private designated home workspace that complies with CVS Health and HIPAA standards is mandatory.

• Must work from the state and city of current residence.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or equivalent Google Workspace tools.

• Capable of utilizing multiple monitors and navigating various applications.

• Proficient in using email, calendar invites, Teams messaging, and virtual meetings.

• Ability to access secure systems such as VPN and EHR portals.

• Competent in managing strong passwords and identifying suspicious emails or links.

• Capable of troubleshooting common technical issues.

• Must meet required internet speeds and comply with Work From Home criteria if hired.
