This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Organize and implement procurement activities that span various teams or functional areas.
• Take independent charge of procurement projects and manage processes within a designated area.
• Ensure that procurement activities are in accordance with established policies and meet stakeholder requirements.
• Perform supplier evaluations, conduct research, and carry out market analyses.
• Transform data into actionable insights while identifying potential supplier risks or opportunities.
• Prepare documentation and facilitate contract reviews during negotiation phases.
• Detect contractual inconsistencies and collaborate with category owners to address them.
• Work in partnership with Planning, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Project Managers.
• Tackle procurement-related issues and propose viable solutions.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement enhanced procurement processes.
• Lead and manage RFPs and competitive bidding processes.
• Conduct supplier due diligence and convey requirements effectively.
• Assess bids and compile findings for the Business Owner.
• Grasp sourcing requirements and assist in sourcing project plans and long-term strategies.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in procurement.
• At least 2 years of experience in an indirect procurement role.
• Preferably have experience in Capital procurement capacities.
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods sector is highly preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is generally required.
• A solid understanding of procurement processes and the purchasing of products and services.
• Knowledge of data analysis, including both structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with supplier management.
• Experience in developing RFIs and RFPs.
• Ability to integrate technical specifications into contracts.
• Knowledge of compliance management.
• Understanding of work order management.
