Associate Machinery Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Acquire foundational knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel operations and mechanical principles.

• Familiarize yourself with ASME, NBIC, and relevant jurisdictional regulations through both guided instruction and self-study.

• Perform jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels as an apprentice.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct 300 inspections of boilers and pressure vessels under supervision.

• Complete knowledge assessments and practical applications for in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels.

• Exhibit proficient communication skills.

• Successfully pass the National Board exam to achieve an “IS” designation within the first 12 months of employment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside within the U.S.

• Requires an engineering degree, or a high school diploma accompanied by 3 years of experience in boiler servicing and/or operation of high-pressure boilers.

• Must have a clean driving record.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

• Capability to conduct internal boiler inspections.

• Ability to pass a fit-for-duty evaluation.

• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.

• Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
