This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee major litigation, arbitration, government investigations, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement actions both in the United States and globally.
• Offer practical, risk-oriented legal counsel to senior legal and business executives on intricate disputes, investigations, enforcement risks, and reputational challenges.
• Independently prepare assessments of litigation and enforcement risks.
• Formulate, propose, and implement legal strategies that safeguard Danaher’s interests while aligning with strategic goals.
• Manage the handling of subpoenas, civil investigative demands, information requests, and other submissions to government entities.
• Act as Danaher's representative in dealings with government enforcement and regulatory bodies, or oversee outside counsel in such interactions.
• Direct and manage outside counsel, experts, and service providers effectively.
• Leverage technology, analytics, and artificial intelligence to enhance litigation strategies, improve workflow efficiency, boost forecasting accuracy, and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay updated on relevant legal trends and developments, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the Danaher legal team.
• At least 15 years of pertinent legal experience, with significant involvement in managing complex litigation, government investigations, internal inquiries, and regulatory issues.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one state bar association.
• Proven experience in a prominent law firm, government enforcement agency, prosecutor’s office, or similar position.
• Willingness to travel 25–30% of the time.
• Preferred experience in the life sciences, healthcare, medical technology, or another highly regulated sector.
• Previous in-house legal experience at a global public company is advantageous but not mandatory.
