
Associate – Federal Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in federal accounting and financial management tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
• Aid in the analysis of general ledger and financial reporting data, including account reconciliations and spotting discrepancies or unusual balances.
• Contribute to federal budgetary accounting and financial reporting efforts, such as SBR, GTAS, and associated reporting obligations.
• Evaluate financial data for thoroughness, consistency, and precision while assisting with transaction-level analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Support senior staff in researching and documenting accounting concerns and in preparing adjusting journal entries, complete with supporting calculations and documentation.
• Create schedules, workpapers, reconciliations, and various accounting documents.
• Facilitate audit preparedness, audit responses, and necessary remediation actions.
• Conduct financial data analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel and other financial or analytical tools.
• Clearly and accurately document processes, analysis outcomes, and conclusions.
• Work collaboratively with senior accountants, project leaders, and client personnel while integrating feedback and upholding high standards for accuracy and documentation.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 1 year of pertinent experience in federal accounting, financial management, auditing, or similar fields, with hands-on experience with financial data, reconciliations, account analysis, or financial reporting.
• More than 1 year of experience in analyzing financial data using Microsoft Excel, demonstrating proficiency in formulas, filtering, sorting, and various financial analysis functions.
• At least 1 year of experience in supporting accounting or financial management tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to document work and collaborate effectively.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Capability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
