Associate Engineer – Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality software using C# and the .NET Framework under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Plan and execute testing activities to evaluate product quality and reduce risks.

• Troubleshoot code and oversee system performance through logs, alerts, dashboards, and runbooks.

• Develop desktop user interfaces leveraging WPF, XAML, and relational SQL databases.

• Participate in code review sessions.

• Assist in enhancing engineering processes.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, colleagues, and senior management.

• Recognize obstacles and communicate effectively to ensure safe and efficient software delivery.

• Share expertise, engage in pair programming, and offer constructive critiques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of C# and foundational principles of object-oriented programming.

• Practical experience with the .NET Framework, WPF, XAML, and SQL databases.

• Proficient in using Git for version control processes.

• Good understanding of fundamental API concepts.

• Willingness to learn about pair programming, unit testing, and ongoing improvement.

• Openness to sharing ideas, seeking feedback, and informally assisting team members.

• Must possess working rights for the location where the role is based.

• Successful completion of relevant background checks may be required.
