This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and optimize interactions with Renal Key Opinion Leaders at leading academic institutions and prominent community practices.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Key Accounts, Market Access, Patient Access, and Renal Leadership teams to ensure alignment of strategy and execution.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with KOLs and renal organizations.
• Develop and uphold KOL engagement plans.
• Strategize and implement national and regional congress engagement initiatives.
• Create KOL profiles for commercial influence mapping.
• Monitor KOL insights regarding current and future treatment trends and provide feedback on commercial strategies.
• Serve as a liaison between KOLs and company teams for on-label activities.
• Facilitate and carry out commercial advisory boards.
• Identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureaus.
• Train, assess, and educate physician speakers on compliant branded and unbranded education.
• Ensure the compliant execution of speaker programs and monitor speaker effectiveness.
• Synthesize feedback from speakers and KOLs to support promotional programming, potential publications, and commercial projects.
• Provide KOL insights to influence brand strategy and identify market and brand opportunities.
• Communicate insights to marketing, sales, and market access stakeholders.
• Initiate opportunities for meaningful programs with thought leaders.
• Identify, sponsor, attend, and gather insights at relevant congresses and society meetings.
• Lead KOL engagement initiatives at relevant congresses.
• Facilitate clinical and commercial discussions and provide guidance on on-label scientific content and materials.
• Present and educate KOLs and customer groups on complex scientific and clinical information.
• Evaluate KOL clinical expertise on complex clinical topics.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, RN/BSN, PA).
• Experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical sector.
• Background in product marketing, field sales, clinical roles, or thought leader engagement.
• Strong clinical, technical, and scientific understanding of complex disease states.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, over 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships.
• Experience in working cross-functionally within a matrixed environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects compliantly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Proficient in developing and executing field-based marketing initiatives.
• Experience with thought leader engagement, advisory boards, and speaker bureau management.
• Candidates must reside within the specified geographic area or be willing to relocate.
