Associate Director, Field Medical Science Liaison

📋 Description

• Lead, manage, coach, and nurture a high-performing Field MSL team that supports Telix’s GU oncology strategy.

• Drive the field medical strategy and implementation for GU oncology, particularly focusing on prostate and renal cancer.

• Supervise KOL engagement, scientific exchanges, congress coverage, advisory boards, launch readiness, lifecycle management, clinical trial assistance, and post-activity reporting.

• Communicate medical strategy, scientific narratives, and execution expectations to the Field MSL team.

• Ensure expertise in GU oncology publications, clinical trials, treatment guidelines, disease-state developments, diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, as well as Telix product and pipeline data.

• Establish and sustain relationships with GU oncology experts, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders.

• Lead the collection, synthesis, reporting, and communication of actionable medical insights and field intelligence.

• Assist in evidence-generation and clinical trial activities, which include investigator engagement, site identification, enrollment support, registries, expanded access programs, IITs, medical education grants, and research collaborations.

• Aid in the development of compliant medical presentations, field tools, training materials, congress summaries, and internal communications.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Communications, Market Access, Regulatory, HEOR, Pharmacovigilance, and Commercial teams.

• Monitor and report on Field MSL performance metrics, including KOL engagement, insights, clinical trial support, congress impact, CRM compliance, training completion, and follow-up activities.

• Provide daily oversight of territory planning, coaching, scientific readiness, CRM documentation, insight quality, compliant follow-up, and alignment with Medical Affairs priorities.

• Ensure all Field MSL activities adhere to Telix policies, relevant regulations, and legal and ethical standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field is required.

• An advanced scientific, healthcare, or medical degree is preferred (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP, PA, or equivalent scientific/clinical experience).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in GU oncology, with proven expertise in prostate and renal cancer.

• At least 2+ years of experience in people management or equivalent leadership experience.

• Proven experience in overseeing MSL activities, which includes coaching, field ride-alongs, performance metrics, insight quality, compliant documentation, and field execution.

• Experience in developing and executing field medical plans, KOL engagement strategies, insight-generation processes, congress plans, advisory boards, and evidence-generation initiatives.

• Familiarity with supporting, assessing, or overseeing Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs).

• Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data related to prostate cancer, renal cancer, radiopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, therapeutics, and associated GU oncology areas.

• Comprehensive understanding of applicable regulations, industry guidelines, and compliance requirements for field-based scientific personnel and healthcare professional interactions.

• Capability to collaborate across matrixed teams.

• Strong business acumen along with strategic planning, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and executive communication skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, CRM, and insight-reporting platforms; ability to create metrics reports and dashboards.

• High attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% locally, regionally, and nationally.
