Associate Director, Field Medical Affairs – Senior Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver therapeutic area and product knowledge across key opinion leaders (KOLs) and initiatives within the designated territory.

• Execute strategic and educational medical affairs plans at a local level.

• Offer medical and scientific assistance to internal stakeholders, particularly Pierre Fabre US Medical Affairs.

• Act as a representative of Pierre Fabre Medical Affairs in the field for the Medical Innovative Oncology portfolio.

• Serve as a scientific resource for healthcare provider (HCP) inquiries and clinical trial requests.

• Provide medical and scientific backing to internal Pierre Fabre teams.

• Conduct medical reviews for promotional and non-promotional materials as necessary.

• Establish and maintain long-term scientific relationships with relevant KOLs.

• Ensure effective KOL and treatment-center mapping and scientific profiling.

• Coordinate on company-sponsored clinical trials, real-world studies, managed access programs, and investigator-initiated studies.

• Collaborate in the formulation of the US Medical Plan and execute regional key strategies.

• Design and implement compliant medical strategies and engagement for assigned customers.

• Collect insights on HCP educational requirements.

• Create a regional territory action plan that aligns with Global and National medical strategies.

• Assist with scientific publications and patient-centric activities.

• Perform additional responsibilities as dictated by changing business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD).

• At least 3 years of experience as an MSL, in Medical Affairs, or in a related pharmaceutical/biotech field.

• Preferred: Established relationships with KOLs and institutions specializing in Hematologic Malignancies.

• Clinical and scientific expertise in oncology, hematology, or cell therapy.

• Capability to operate within a matrix organization with various stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal abilities to build and maintain credible relationships with HCPs.

• Aptitude for understanding HCPs' needs and communicating emerging scientific information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct lectures and training on medical science topics.

• Competence to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in designing and facilitating medical meetings.

• High ethical standards, personal integrity, and an understanding of relevant ethics and compliance industry standards.

• Residency within the assigned territory.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned geography.

• Ability to travel up to 60–70% of the time.
