Associate Director – Eating Disorders Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead the clinical team while ensuring adherence to the Over-18 Eating Disorders program treatment model.

• Collaborate with the Program Director to oversee the quality of care in PHP and IOP.

• Evaluate treatment-model fidelity via group observations, session reviews, and structured feedback.

• Detect model drift and offer corrective support as needed.

• Consult on complex cases involving co-occurring OCD, trauma, or mood disorders.

• Address and help resolve medical risks, treatment-interfering behaviors, and level-of-care decisions.

• Confirm that treatment sequencing aligns with the program’s treatment target hierarchy.

• Elevate clinical issues to the Program Director and operational issues to the Virtual Director.

• Assist with onboarding and continuous training related to the program curriculum.

• Provide clinical supervision for staff pursuing licensure.

• Enhance clinicians' skills in evidence-based treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• Offer performance feedback, coaching, and development planning for clinical staff.

• Oversee daily clinical operations, including rounds, group and eating block coverage, and staffing assignments.

• Uphold coverage standards for supported meals and snacks.

• Manage census flow, admissions readiness, and schedule construction within staffing limitations.

• Supervise authorization needs and medical necessity documentation specific to eating disorders, including appeals.

• Track outcome measure completion and analyze program-level outcome data.

• Maintain a defined clinical caseload, providing individual therapy.

• Document patient progress in the electronic medical record.

• Fill in for unavailable staff as needed.

• Contribute to the development, revision, and expansion of the curriculum.

• Support readiness for additional cohorts, sites, and virtual delivery methods.

• Disseminate program information to referral sources and engage in outreach activities.

• Ensure that program activities reflect Compass values and mission.

• Hold regular meetings with the Program Director and Virtual Director for supervision and consultation.

• Engage in professional development activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be independently licensed as a psychologist, LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois (required).

• Minimum of 2 years post-degree clinical experience in treating eating disorders (required).

• Experience in treating OCD, anxiety, PTSD, and/or depression is strongly preferred.

• Supervisory experience with licensed staff and those seeking licensure is preferred.

• Experience in program development and implementation.

• Familiarity with PHP, IOP, residential, or inpatient settings.

• Knowledgeable in CBT-E, exposure-based treatment, and DBT as applied to eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• Ability to provide direct developmental feedback to clinicians regarding clinical performance.

• Capability to uphold program standards while balancing operational needs, including census and staffing requirements.

• Commitment to a weight-inclusive framework.

• Strong time management skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
