This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Drive the growth of new business within a designated territory in the EMEA region.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic opportunities within Lonza's Integrated Biologics portfolio.
• Establish long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
• Shape complex development and manufacturing strategies, positioning Lonza as the preferred partner throughout the product lifecycle.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy.
• Recognize high-value opportunities and lead customer interactions from initial contact to opportunity creation.
• Articulate Lonza's technical abilities, innovative technologies, and value propositions.
• Assist in generating and converting clinical development opportunities.
• Build rapport with potential customers and identify strategic partnership possibilities.
• Develop and execute a territory growth plan from lead qualification through to deal closure.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and partnering events.
• Advocate for technical capabilities, service offerings, and emerging technologies through meetings, presentations, and networking.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, assist in contract development, and ensure mutually advantageous outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with Technical, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Proposal Management teams to advance and finalize opportunities.
• Track market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to create value propositions and strategies for market share growth.
• A degree in a Life Sciences discipline such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related area.
• Extensive experience in commercial and business development in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO sectors.
• Demonstrated capability to generate and enhance strategic customer partnerships.
• Strong comprehension of the drug development lifecycle, encompassing pre-clinical, clinical, manufacturing, and commercialization phases.
• Ability to engage in substantive scientific and business conversations.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence in influencing technical experts and senior executives.
• Experience in managing sales pipelines and customer engagement using CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.com.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
