This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses to support analytics infrastructure.
• Set up and configure solutions using pre-approved frameworks to transfer data from operational and external environments to the business intelligence ecosystem.
• Oversee data integration and ETL processes, which include consolidation, aggregation, filtering, validation, data quality routines, and dimension creation.
• Configure and deploy automated processes utilizing established reusable patterns.
• Execute production-level tasks while taking into account data dependencies, scheduling, validation routines, and updates to data streams.
• Design, develop, validate, and continuously enhance data models based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with technical users to define data needs and establish business rules.
• Work alongside business stakeholders to improve the BI platform and deliver relevant, accurate insights through the introduction of new datasets.
• Conduct unit and system integration testing.
• Participate in peer reviews, assist with testing, and keep documentation up to date.
• Monitor error-handling and logging tools and procedures.
• Troubleshoot configuration and data issues.
• Track performance and raise appropriate alerts.
• Identify opportunities for optimizing the ETL environment.
• Implement monitoring, quality, and validation processes to guarantee data accuracy and integrity.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Apache Kafka, AWS Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS S3, and Pentaho Data Integration.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including traditional and MPP database designs, as well as star and snowflake schemas.
• At least 2 years of experience in data modeling.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on development experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Fivetran, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of the architecture, design, and implementation of MPP databases like Teradata, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• 3 years of experience in developing cloud-based analytics solutions, preferably on AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with designing and implementing streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Segment.
• Knowledge of database tuning and ETL optimization.
• Experience using Python in a cloud-based environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases is preferred.
• Exposure to AI tools is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across internal functional areas in uncertain situations.
• Structured thinking and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or 4-8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
