Associate Case Manager – Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Gather and verify necessary information to underwrite new business cases.

• Deliver customer service and assistance to agents and underwriters via phone and email.

• Acquire underwriting requirements and follow up on outstanding offers.

• Compile documents and liaise with reinsurers.

• Update claims and underwriting workflow systems while ensuring data accuracy.

• Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions.

• Review forms and follow up on any missing information.

• Review and authorize final policy documents.

• Organize and process exam-only and informal inquiry files.

• Research physicians, affiliates, and addresses; obtain necessary authorizations and order reports.

• Handle reinstatements, exchanges, term conversions, reissue policies, incoming mail, faxes, and medical releases.

• Issue annuity contracts and life policies, as well as process amendments and initial premiums.

• Stay updated with underwriting, replacement, claims, and new-business requirements.

• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage vendor billing.

• Assist with initial claims forms and reports.

• Mentor colleagues and provide feedback to the manager in the role of Case Manager.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience required.

• Customer service experience is mandatory.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong data entry skills.

• Capability to learn and adhere to applicable regulations and company procedures.

• Ability to execute work accurately and thoroughly.

• Keen attention to detail is essential.

• Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload effectively.

• Experience in a life insurance or closely related field is required for Case Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required for Associate Case Manager.

• An Associate degree in business or a related field is required for Case Manager.
