Associate Broker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist lead brokers in managing current accounts

• Cultivate producer-level technical knowledge for a specific book of business

• Act as a liaison between agents and insurance carriers

• Aid in business development, coverage placement, and client service

• Support submission strategies, carrier placements, and preparation of submissions and quotes

• Identify suitable coverage solutions through accessible markets

• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, structures, and policy provisions

• Build and manage relationships with agents, clients, and market partners

• Function as a secondary point of contact

• Promote new and renewal business while contributing to growth initiatives

• Oversee assigned accounts or segments of accounts

• Ensure account compliance with company policies and procedures

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluency in the English language is required

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation is preferred

• Early-career experience in wholesale insurance or a related field

• A current state-specific insurance license is required

• A foundational understanding of insurance products, markets, and underwriting considerations

• Capability to analyze policy components and assess coverage options

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with agents and carriers

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

• Interest in business development, sales strategies, and market positioning

• Willingness to learn quickly and apply industry knowledge to facilitate deal execution
