This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee the management of the biospecimen lifecycle, from sample receipt to analysis and final disposal.
• Ensure the accuracy of specimen metadata.
• Provide updates on study specimens to client groups and stakeholders.
• Enhance specimen management efficiency by disseminating knowledge and best practices.
• Offer site support and facilitate query resolution.
• Engage in or lead special projects.
• Comply with client policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Evaluate clinical study protocols and service provider scope-of-work documents for details related to sample handling and processing.
• Establish studies and electronic protocols in LIMS.
• Develop and oversee project plans.
• Manage data transfer plans with analytical laboratories.
• Handle data from both external and internal laboratories, including exploratory studies.
• Address discrepancies in specimen metadata.
• Submit specimens for analytical assays in accordance with study timelines.
• Assess specimen receipt status and data completeness.
• Aid in database locks by ensuring final results and comprehensive data transfers; generate data-management reports as necessary.
• Assist in annual and long-term planning forecasts.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, medical technology, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in life sciences, particularly in biospecimen lifecycle management.
• 1–3 years of experience in project management is preferred.
• Familiarity with StarLIMS or other laboratory information management systems is desired.
• Knowledge of transaction-based inventory and data management systems, as well as clinical trial processes.
• Understanding of ICH, GCP, GLP, and applicable local regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel, with skills in macro and template creation preferred.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and exceptional multi-tasking capabilities.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Possible travel to client sites up to 2–4 times per year.
• Flexibility to work East Coast business hours as needed for meetings.
