Associate Attorney – Mass Civil Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Review docket publications and set deadlines within the system.

• Analyze more intricate cases, generate reports, request necessary actions from clients, and adhere to deadlines.

• Draft initial legal documents, including collection proceedings, enforcement actions, and debt recovery claims.

• Prepare defenses, counterclaims, routine and complex submissions, as well as various types of appeals.

• Manage cases throughout the pleading, judgment enforcement, and judgment liquidation phases.

• Act in banking and mass litigation matters representing both claimants and defendants.

• Oversee enforcement actions, responses to enforcement, collection proceedings, lease renewal requests, rent adjustment actions, other revision claims, damage claims, declaratory actions, accounting actions, and provisional relief proceedings.

• Address inquiries submitted by clients through the internal system and via email.

• Manage client requests submitted in spreadsheet format.

• Oversee complex cases and urgent measures requested by clients.

• Input case information into the firm’s case management system.

• Assess the possibility of waiving appeals.

• Request compliance with obligations related to actions and payments.

• Solicit supporting information and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of active registration with the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB-SP); registrations from other states will not be accepted.

• Experience in law firms, ideally in mass litigation.

• Proven experience in drafting defenses and appeals.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and internet navigation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with Small Claims Court proceedings.

• Knowledge of banking litigation and consumer law is advantageous.

• Current understanding of the 2015 Code of Civil Procedure.

• Ability to handle a high volume of daily analyses.
