Associate Attorney – High-Volume Civil Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Review and process court publications

• Schedule deadlines within the case management system

• Analyze complex cases

• Prepare reports

• Request necessary client actions and meet deadlines

• Draft initial pleadings, including actions for payment orders, enforcement proceedings, and collection claims

• Draft defenses, counterclaims, and both simple and complex motions

• Draft appeals, such as Small Claims Appeals, Appeals, Motions for Clarification, Special Appeals to the Superior Court of Justice, Extraordinary Appeals to the Federal Supreme Court, Internal Interlocutory Appeals, and Interlocutory Appeals in Special and Extraordinary Appeals

• Manage banking and high-volume litigation on both the claimant and defendant sides

• Monitor deadlines and prepare procedural filings

• Handle cases during the merits phase, judgment enforcement, and judgment liquidation phases

• Respond to client inquiries received through the internal system and via email

• Address client requests submitted through spreadsheets

• Manage complex cases and urgent measures requested by clients

• Enter case information into the firm's case management system

• Evaluate whether appeals should be waived

• Request enforcement of obligations to perform acts and to make payments

• Request necessary supporting information and documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of active registration with the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB-SP); registrations from other states will not be considered

• Experience in law firms, preferably in high-volume litigation

• Experience in drafting defenses and appeals

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and internet usage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Small Claims Civil Courts

• Knowledge of banking litigation and consumer law is considered a plus

• Up-to-date understanding of the 2015 Code of Civil Procedure

• Ability to handle a significant volume of daily analyses
