This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manage files and formulate case strategies.
• Oversee discovery processes and conduct depositions.
• Collaborate with experts while maintaining communication with clients and insurance carriers.
• Engage in motion practice and prepare cases for trial.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, motion practices, and trials.
• Create persuasive case strategies and achieve results.
• Work alongside attorneys and staff of varying experience levels.
• Ensure consistent and professional communication with clients.
• Establish and foster relationships with current and potential clients.
• Mentor and guide junior attorneys.
• Work on civil defense cases in both state and federal courts, covering areas such as general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defects, product liability, and auto/commercial transportation.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in insurance defense.
• Active Pennsylvania Bar license is mandatory.
• Dual admission in Pennsylvania and New Jersey is highly preferred.
• Previous billing experience is required.
• Ability to independently manage and progress files.
• Strong skills in writing, analysis, and communication.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 1 to 8 years of substantial litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Capability to independently handle a full caseload from discovery to trial.
• Previous experience in insurance defense is preferred.
• Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Self-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for each subsequent tier.
