This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic direction and daily operational management for the Office of Accreditation, Licensure & State Authorizations (ALSA).
• Oversee all accreditation activities for both institutional and programmatic purposes.
• Ensure compliance with state authorization and licensure across all states where the institution operates.
• Act as the official intermediary between the institution and WSCUC, as well as programmatic accrediting and approval bodies.
• Manage ALSA Coordinators while overseeing staffing, budgeting, workload distribution, leave management, and professional development.
• Provide counsel to the Executive Cabinet and institutional leadership regarding accreditation, licensure, regulatory compliance, and changes in regulations.
• Lead the reaffirmation process with WSCUC, including annual reporting, substantive change activities, peer reviews, and submissions for institutional accreditation.
• Direct over 30 simultaneous programmatic accreditation relationships and their complete accreditation lifecycles.
• Coordinate mock site visits and site visits conducted by accreditors.
• Monitor, prepare, and submit applications for state authorization, renewals, annual reports, audits, and exemption requests.
• Supervise institutional licensure compliance, audits, disclosures, and communications with state licensing boards.
• Develop plans, documentation, training materials, reports, self-studies, quality enhancement plans, and compliance certifications.
• Participate on institutional committees and engage in relevant professional training, conferences, and conventions.
• Doctoral degree or a professional terminal degree.
• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration, specifically in regulatory and compliance areas.
• Direct experience with institutional accreditation (specifically WSCUC) and programmatic accreditation in higher education.
• In-depth knowledge of state authorization requirements, including both NC-SARA and non-NC-SARA (direct, state by state) authorization details.
• Familiarity with licensure regulations and interactions with state licensing boards.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes impacting higher education.
• Experience in delivering presentations.
• Exceptional writing, verbal, research, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Direct involvement in serving on an institutional accreditor's peer review teams.
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent programmatic accreditation relationships.
• Knowledge of direct, state by state authorization processes and the State Authorization Network (SAN).
• Ability to provide written and oral reports on assessment plans, strategies, and outcomes.
• Experience in conducting seminars and workshops for faculty and staff on accreditation, assessment, evaluation, and related subjects.
• Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
