This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Analyze the effects of disasters such as floods, fires, or storms on buildings and the environment.
β’ Evaluate risks, vulnerabilities, and potential damages to establish preventive strategies.
β’ Reduce damage during emergencies through resource deployment, evacuation coordination, and protection of essential infrastructure.
β’ Supervise daily operations at project sites.
β’ Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality benchmarks, and overall progress.
β’ Efficiently distribute labor, materials, and equipment.
β’ Manage teams, schedules, and resolve project challenges.
β’ Liaise with clients and project stakeholders, including adjusters, brokers, and insured parties.
β’ Organize and conduct field inspections and site visits to assess work scope and damage.
β’ Estimate medium to large commercial and residential projects utilizing Xactimate.
β’ Document, review, and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, correspondence, reports, meeting notes, and other project-related documents.
β’ Provide technical guidance to other consultants and assist with their files.
β’ Collaborate with Business Development Managers to enhance new business opportunities and reinforce existing client relationships.
β’ A minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in estimating.
β’ Professional experience in the restoration, insurance, and remediation sectors, particularly with estimating large commercial complex losses.
β’ Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited institution; or 5-10 years of demonstrable experience and achievements in the restoration industry as an alternative to a degree.
β’ Relevant experience in restoration and/or restoration contracting with a focus on collaboration with insurance companies, including scheduling, project management, and estimating.
β’ Proficiency in Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or other estimating software.
β’ Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a capacity to produce high-quality expert reports.
β’ Valid driverβs license with a clean driving record.
β’ Solid project management, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.
β’ Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
β’ Strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
β’ Outstanding customer service skills.
β’ Capability to wear personal protective equipment as dictated by the work environment.
β’ Physical ability to perform inspections and handle inspection equipment.
β’ Ability to ascend ladders to access elevated areas or roofs.
β’ Skill in drafting reports of findings, which constitutes 50% of daily responsibilities.
β’ Availability for on-call duties, including weekends or nights as necessary.
β’ Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for catastrophe response as required.
