Assistant Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), which include site evaluations, document reviews, and the preparation of reports.

• Ensure that reports are technically sound and projects are delivered on time.

• Work collaboratively with team members to finalize Phase I ESA reports while meeting client timelines and delivery standards.

• Oversee and coordinate projects, acting as a liaison among clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

• Comply with the company's safety policies, procedures, and standards, which includes participation in pre-task planning meetings.

• Offer technical environmental insights and recommendations concerning environmental conditions and regulatory matters.

• Ensure adherence to relevant environmental regulations, industry standards, and company quality protocols.

• Collaborate with diverse teams on project planning and execution.

• Prepare and deliver project findings to clients in a clear and professional manner.

• Engage in client meetings, project discussions, and related communications.

• Build and sustain strong client relationships through prompt communication, high-quality deliverables, and exceptional service.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field, along with 0-3 years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with Phase I ESA procedures and report writing.

• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in utilizing relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• An analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude towards complex environmental challenges.

• A valid driver's license and readiness to travel for site visits as needed.

• Professional certifications or further qualifications in environmental science are advantageous.
