This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with project teams to enhance quality processes, ensure operational consistency, and foster continuous improvement.
• Assist the Corporate Quality Director in formulating, executing, and refining company quality processes and standards.
• Evaluate project work plans, inspection checklists, commissioning documentation, and various quality-related documents.
• Analyze contract requirements, project specifications, drawings, corporate standards, and applicable codes for project teams.
• Offer technical guidance and quality support throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Aid in owner, internal, third-party, and project closeout audits.
• Conduct field audits and observations to assess compliance and the effectiveness of processes.
• Identify process deficiencies, recurring issues, quality patterns, and corrective and preventive measures.
• Investigate quality concerns, determine root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Review construction methodologies, installation techniques, and quality processes for potential improvements.
• Develop and enhance corporate quality standards, processes, procedures, and associated documentation.
• Assess business processes and suggest enhancements in quality, efficiency, and consistency.
• Support lessons learned, root cause analyses, and the implementation of best practices.
• Create and monitor quality performance metrics and KPIs.
• Design and deliver quality training for project teams, field personnel, and management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, Procurement, Safety, and Project Management teams.
• Engage in constructability reviews, lessons learned meetings, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
• Travel to project sites, customer locations, corporate offices, and business meetings as necessary.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction, engineering, quality management, or a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience may also be considered.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Outlook, and other business software applications.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting while juggling multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain, ladders, stairs, varying weather conditions, and required PPE.
• Capability to sit for extended periods while utilizing a computer and reviewing technical documentation.
• Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to travel by automobile and commercial airline.
• Preferred: experience in utility-scale renewable energy, electrical construction, industrial construction, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Preferred: experience conducting quality audits, investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Preferred: experience in enhancing business processes, quality systems, procedures, or operational workflows.
• Preferred: experience in reviewing work plans, inspection plans, commissioning documentation, and construction quality documentation.
• Preferred: experience with construction management software.
• Preferred: professional certifications such as CQE, CQM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, NICET, NETA, or other relevant industry credentials.
