Assistant Project Manager

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Support the Project Manager in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all project phases.

β€’ Oversee subcontractor relationships, manage cost accounting and billing processes, procurement, and act as a liaison with owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.

β€’ Collaborate effectively with relevant team members.

β€’ Organize and facilitate meetings with the team and clients.

β€’ Provide regular status updates to the Project Team.

β€’ Relay pertinent project information to the Project Manager and other essential stakeholders.

β€’ Adhere to and assist in enforcing standard policies and procedures.

β€’ Manage the daily operational aspects of projects, including scope and client interactions.

β€’ Monitor and report on project milestones, deliverables, resource parameters, and budgetary constraints.

β€’ Act as the primary point of contact for system changes and enhancements after project implementation, ensuring all changes are documented.

β€’ Identify and communicate the necessary resources required to complete projects.

β€’ Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

β€’ Maintain regular follow-up with clients daily or weekly until any issues are resolved.

β€’ Execute additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

β€’ Proven experience in estimating and managing both self-performed and subcontracted work activities.

β€’ Familiarity with standard commercial construction practices.

β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.

β€’ Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.

β€’ Capability to read plans.

β€’ At least 2 years of construction work experience is preferred, though not mandatory.

β€’ Must be able to successfully pass a federal background check.

β€’ Must be a US citizen.

β€’ Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.

β€’ Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

β€’ Proficient in reading computer screens, managing emails, and handling phone calls.

β€’ Capable of bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and gripping items while working at the designated desk area.

β€’ Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
