Assistant Professor – Counseling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Instruct graduate-level courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

• Teach a total of 24 credits or 6 courses annually.

• Engage in publications, presentations, and/or grant activities related to Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

• Offer clinical supervision and guidance to students enrolled in the CMHC program.

• Conduct research and scholarly activities within a specialized area of focus.

• Contribute service to the program, department, college, UW-Parkside, the profession, and the community.

• Participate actively in meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Earned or expected doctorate in counseling or counselor education, to be completed by August 2027.

• Experience in teaching asynchronous online, synchronous online, and pre-designed/developed courses.

• Proven experience in providing clinical supervision to students in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

• Engagement in research and scholarly activities in the field of clinical mental health counseling.

• Experience collaborating with students and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Licensed as a professional counselor; a training license is acceptable with the requirement to achieve independent licensure within two years of employment.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States without university sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• A criminal background check is mandatory.

• Transcripts will be required upon hiring.

• Capability to attend meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

• Adequate mobility and dexterity to navigate the office, campus, and community; ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
