This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for high-risk, high-value payment investigations within London payments, ensuring complete ownership until final resolution.
• Oversee time-sensitive investigations that may have regulatory, reputational, or financial repercussions, prioritizing cases with visibility from the Central Bank and senior management.
• Guide junior investigators and function as a subject-matter expert on complex ISO 20022 (pacs.008/pacs.009) and legacy MT investigations.
• Manage messages related to payment investigations, including fund returns, unable-to-apply cases, amendments, BCNR, recalls, RFIs, and back-valuation scenarios across correspondent banking.
• Maintain proficiency in both outward and inward remittance flows to ensure precise investigation, response, and resolution.
• Conduct quality checks for CPC processes and produce daily, weekly, and monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) and dashboards.
• Analyze recurring queries and collaborate with managers to propose process enhancements that minimize repetitive inquiries.
• Offer constructive feedback to the processing team.
• Ensure prompt completion of Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for all CPC processes and upload results in PRISM for UAE and IBG locations.
• Lead and mentor investigators, distribute workload, track productivity, and guarantee timely case closure without compromising control standards.
• Create service-oriented dashboards for team inquiries and recommend solutions to lessen manual processing.
• Develop strategies to expedite queries resulting from processing errors, escalate them to the Department Head, and collaborate with operations and client services to reduce loss and customer impact.
• Communicate errors and knowledge gaps with line managers and Division Heads to address service issues effectively.
• Enhance end-to-end processes through automation and digitalization initiatives.
• Regularly review and refine inter-group and intra-group Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in alignment with automated solutions.
• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 7–8 years of varied experience in banking operations, encompassing a broad spectrum of banking products and services.
• Solid understanding of banking processes and systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Regulatory Requirements.
• Proficient with various in-house operating systems.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of processes.
• Effective decision-making capabilities and conflict resolution skills.
