This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a senior member of the Labor and Employment legal team.
• Collaborate on daily responsibilities with the Global Head of Labor & Employment and the larger team.
• Establish Labor and Employment practices for a rapidly expanding global workforce.
• Provide guidance on worker classification, employee separations, executive compensation agreements, compensation plans, and wage-and-hour issues.
• Advise on matters relating to trade secrets and restrictive covenants.
• Assist with employment and labor due diligence during M&A transactions.
• Counsel on post-closing workforce integration, including the alignment of employment terms, policies, compensation, and benefits programs.
• Offer strategic insights on global expansion, EOR and direct employment decisions, workforce transitions, global mobility, contingent workforce, and worker classification risks.
• Develop policies and procedures while creating and leading training for managers and employees.
• Provide advice on employee and candidate data privacy matters.
• Support global workplace investigations and employee relations issues.
• Supervise external counsel concerning pre-litigation, arbitration, local law issues, and employment disputes.
• Create and enhance AI-enabled legal workflows while establishing practical guidelines.
• Keep track of and advise on global Labor and Employment trends, including developments in the cryptocurrency sector.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Over 10 years of legal experience advising on Employment, Labor, and Executive Compensation matters in the US and other jurisdictions.
• Experience in both in-house and law firm settings, particularly within high-growth scaling and large enterprise environments.
• Comprehensive international background in Labor and Employment law and drafting.
• Ability to work flexible hours that overlap with PX team members and colleagues in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Experience conducting due diligence for acquisitions and managing post-closing workforce integration.
• Familiarity with compensation plans and data privacy issues impacting employees and candidates.
• Active legal license to practice in at least one US State or eligibility for registration as in-house counsel.
• Proficient in using generative AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in daily legal practices.
• Strong judgment in validating AI outputs while safeguarding confidentiality, privilege, and personal data.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and an opportunity-seeking attitude.
• Interest in the cryptocurrency industry (preferred).
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other regulated financial services sectors (preferred).
• Background in Asian and/or Latin American employment markets (preferred).
