This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily accounting operations while ensuring timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
• Prepare and assess consolidated financial statements in alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.
• Manage accounting activities across various legal entities, business units, and currencies.
• Handle multi-entity consolidation and foreign currency accounting, which includes remeasurement, translation, intercompany transactions, and associated foreign exchange gains and losses.
• Supervise balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other closing activities.
• Oversee revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other essential accounting functions.
• Assist in the accounting treatment and documentation for new, atypical, or complex business transactions.
• Maintain and enhance the chart of accounts, accounting policies, closing procedures, and financial reporting processes.
• Facilitate annual audit and tax activities while collaborating with external auditors, tax professionals, and advisors.
• Aid in maintaining and strengthening the internal control environment.
• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and development for accounting and finance team members.
• Establish ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.
• Review team members' outputs while engaging directly with the details when necessary.
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Support FP&A analyses, budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, revenue and margin analysis, and operating expense management.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor key financial and operational metrics.
• Transform financial results into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities while effectively communicating insights to the CFO.
• Assist in scenario modeling and analyses for strategic and operational decision-making.
• Continually enhance financial processes, systems, automation, and reporting.
• Support the financial infrastructure to accommodate increasing transaction volumes, geographic expansion, new products, and organizational growth.
• Evaluate AI-driven tools and automation to boost finance and accounting efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and insights.
• Participate in or lead ERP implementation, optimization, integration, and enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate on financial system architecture, data flows, and integrations.
• Improve the availability, consistency, and reliability of financial and operational data.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including significant experience in a senior accounting, accounting manager, or Assistant Controller role.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with multi-entity consolidation and foreign currency accounting.
• Background in a startup, high-growth, or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in leading, developing, and managing accounting or finance team members.
• Experience in managing or playing a key leadership role in the monthly close and consolidated financial reporting process.
• Strong grasp of financial controls, audit requirements, and accounting policies.
• Ability to contribute to and support FP&A, financial metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, financial systems, and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop practical solutions, and drive projects to completion.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage directly with the details when required.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, FX remeasurement and translation, and international operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proven technical accounting skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold accounting team members accountable.
• Capacity to understand variance analysis, margins, forecasts, KPIs, and underlying business drivers.
• Strong ERP skills and a willingness to leverage automation, integrations, data tools, and AI to enhance Finance.
• Availability to work primarily between 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM ET.
