Assistant Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Corporate Controller with daily responsibilities and contribute to establishing a robust finance framework in the U.S.

• Oversee the month-end closing procedures for U.S. finances and related tasks in line with U.S. GAAP.

• Aid in the consolidation of reporting activities.

• Supervise the general ledger and perform regular reconciliations.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate receipt, processing, and payment of invoices.

• Work alongside the global finance team to enhance financial processes and systems.

• Provide financial assistance to U.S. personnel, management, and sales departments.

• Support tax reporting, planning, and compliance alongside external tax advisors.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, sales, and local tax regulations.

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits.

• Supervise the creation of cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets.

• Identify and rectify financial discrepancies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA certification is required.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar capacity within the finance sector.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Proficient in accounting software; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Capability to work remotely with offshore management and bookkeeping teams.

• Autonomy in decision-making backed by extensive knowledge.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and listening skills.

• Accounting and operational knowledge for effective collaboration and professional engagement.

• Strong cross-cultural communication abilities and adaptability to collaborate across various time zones.

• Keen attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to streamline and enhance inefficient or overly complex processes.

• A sense of urgency with the capacity to manage competing priorities.

• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
