Corporate – Controllership Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create authentic accounting scenarios rooted in controllership functions.

• Develop scenarios that include financial statements, journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, month-end/period-end close, fixed assets and depreciation, as well as accruals and prepaids.

• Assess and compare AI-generated accounting results for accuracy, adherence to GAAP, and application of professional judgment.

• Offer written feedback to enhance AI effectiveness in close and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate remotely with the research team.

• Provide a resume or a brief summary of your accounting experience.

• Fill out a short form detailing your practice area, specialties, and certifications.

• Possibly undertake a brief sample task.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA certification or 3–5+ years of experience in corporate/in-house or firm accounting.

• Direct involvement with the general ledger and period-end closing processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Proficient with QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and Excel.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Background in financial accounting and reporting.

• Experience in bookkeeping or client accounting services (CAS).

• Familiarity with accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

• Ability to work as an independent contractor.

• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
