Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell Portwest PPE, safety wear, and workwear products to distributors in the East Midlands.

• Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

• Foster strong business relationships with both new and existing accounts.

• Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers, and agents.

• Identify high-growth existing customers and create comprehensive development roadmaps.

• Recognize new business opportunities and complete sales planning schedules.

• Implement strategies for consistently winning new business.

• Engage in consultative selling by understanding customer needs and offering Portwest solutions.

• Prepare written proposals and quotations.

• Introduce new Portwest products by bringing samples to meetings.

• Follow up after meetings to finalize sales.

• Gather market intelligence through trade shows, seminars, exhibitions, and journals, and provide feedback to the business.

• Promote distributor product promotions to end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in selling PPE, workwear, or safety wear.

• Demonstrated track record of sales success with manufacturers, distributors, resellers, or agents.

• Experience in sales within related industries such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MROs, etc.

• Strong motivation to contribute to Portwest's ongoing growth through field sales.

• Valid, clean driving license and willingness to travel throughout your designated region.

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Positive, results-oriented mindset with a strong desire to achieve success.

• Team player with a collaborative approach to reaching objectives.
