Area Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Build and manage high-performing teams by attracting, retaining, and nurturing talent while enhancing the Guest experience and ensuring accountability for results.

• Oversee the management of healthy P&L statements for all locations in the area, promoting financial success, revenue growth, cost management, and collaboration with General Managers.

• Empower and cultivate leaders in accordance with the Shack Pact, organizational goals, and culture.

• Lead initiatives in talent development, succession planning, community engagement, and staff retention.

• Act as a bridge between the Home Office and management teams, prioritizing communication and guiding the implementation of systems and processes.

• Anticipate Guest feedback, identify trend areas, and utilize data to develop accountability plans for General Managers and ensure consistent Guest experiences.

• Ensure compliance, protect the brand, support management teams, and promote consistent audit practices.

• Forge community partnerships and support local marketing efforts for the Shack.

• Conduct regular visits to Shacks to verify compliance, assess KPI performance, and ensure safe and healthy environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of management and leadership experience in a multi-unit management role, demonstrating a successful track record of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that facilitate the effective exchange of information and ideas.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Solid financial and analytical abilities with experience in driving sales and profits while mentoring staff.

• Capable of setting realistic objectives and goals and implementing the necessary steps to achieve them.

• Familiarity with the principles and procedures for the recruitment, selection, and training of management personnel.

• Understanding of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective compliance with local and state health and safety codes.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
