This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Instruct graduate-level courses on architectural environmental systems.
• Continue developing curriculum towards achieving NAAB accreditation.
• Teach design studios as authorized by the Program Director.
• Present course materials in line with the approved syllabus and schedule.
• Guide and motivate students in their academic journey, attendance, professionalism, and behavior.
• Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student assignments alongside revisory strategies.
• Keep track of and report on student grades and attendance records.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at student retention and assist students who are absent or at risk.
• Encourage student involvement in educational, professional, and creative endeavors.
• Uphold standards for course activities, email correspondence, grading, and overall communication.
• Conduct end-of-semester evaluations to meet NAAB accreditation objectives.
• Represent Liberty University while adhering to its policies, The Liberty Way, Christian principles, and mission.
• A Master of Architecture (M. Arch) degree or a terminal degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited institution.
• Demonstrated evidence of, or potential for, impactful teaching, professional expertise, creative/scholarly activities, effective public communication, and professional collegiality.
• A personal faith commitment to the evangelical Christian mission and purpose of Liberty University, with complete adherence to its doctrines.
• Strength or potential for effective teaching at the college level.
• Familiarity with collaborative and online learning strategies, along with student-centered instructional methods.
• Proven organizational abilities and capacity to complete assignments promptly and accurately with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal, empathetic, customer service, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public entities.
• Proficiency in computer skills, encompassing discipline-related technologies and online teaching platforms.
• Capability to reason through, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to resolve both routine and complex issues.
• May be required to travel for local, campus, state visits, or fieldwork.
• A valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance are required when driving for the position.
