Architectural Specification and Design Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Enhance awareness and utilization of Neogard products while providing support to the architect and specifier community.

• Act as the technical sales authority for roofing, flooring, and waterproofing influencers.

• Collaborate effectively with Neogard Segment Managers, Account Managers, and the National Architectural Specialists Manager.

• Identify and engage with key strategic end users.

• Maximize long-term specification acceptance within the designated territory.

• Cultivate relationships with influential architects and specifiers.

• Prepare and revise specifications for projects in the A/E/C industry.

• Contribute to the creation of new master specifications for the firm's library.

• Coordinate knowledge bases for specific master specification divisions.

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified, large strategic opportunities.

• Create targeted plans to advance projects through the pipeline and transition them to the sales team for closure.

• Overnight travel required 50-60% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in California, Washington, or Oregon.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil), along with prior experience as an A/E representative with coatings experience or equivalent background.

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in architectural market channels.

• Existing connections with architects and specifiers.

• Proven sales and relationship-building experience.

• Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills.

• Organized, independent, and proactive working style.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

• Overnight travel required (50-60%).

• Preferred knowledge of high-performance coatings.

• In-depth understanding of flooring, waterproofing, and roof coatings is a plus.

• Solid grasp of the technical aspects of commercial roofing, including codes and approvals (FM, RoofNav, UL, SPRI, ARMA, IIBEC, ICRI, and Miami-Dade).

• Familiarity with competitive bidding and specification development.

• Membership in CSI (Construction Specifiers Institute) is preferred.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
