
Arborist Trainee, Climber - Transmission

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Manually clear vegetation from designated work areas
• Apply pesticides as needed
• Operate forestry equipment safely, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs
• Conduct utility line clearance, including pruning and removals
• Work off-road along utility rights-of-way to maintain and remove vegetation that obstructs the power grid
• Acquire skills in felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management
• Engage in full-time, year-round outdoor physical labor
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Availability to work 45 hours per week
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain and lift 75 lbs.
• Willingness to work at different heights
• Eagerness to learn how to operate a bucket truck and other equipment safely
• Willingness to obtain a CDL A or B license
• Commitment to obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses and certifications for the role
• Successful completion of a post-offer physical and drug screening
• Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle record check
