Arborist Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Manually clear vegetation from designated work areas

• Apply pesticides as necessary

• Operate forestry equipment safely, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs

• Conduct line clearance, pruning, and tree removals

• Acquire skills in felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management

• Engage in paid, hands-on on-the-job training

• Work full-time, year-round, outdoors, performing physically demanding tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

• Availability to work 45 hours per week

• Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Physically capable of walking on uneven terrain and lifting 75 lbs

• Willingness to work at different heights

• Must be eager to learn how to operate a bucket truck and use equipment safely

• Must be prepared to obtain a CDL A or B license

• Willingness to acquire and maintain necessary licenses and certifications for the role

• Successful completion of a post-offer physical and drug screening is required

• Must clear a background check and motor vehicle record check

• No prior experience in the tree industry is necessary

• Must have the willingness and interest in learning a skilled trade
