AR Collections Project Manager – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Consistently log into and assess Tebra billing software to track outstanding accounts receivable across clients and clinics.

• Recognize claims that are at risk of nonpayment or underpayment.

• Proactively highlight denials, underpayments, authorization gaps, payor holdups, and other pertinent issues.

• Establish action items for unresolved matters and drive them to resolution, either independently or in collaboration with the billing team.

• Assist in guiding the team's daily operations concerning collection issues.

• Identify recurring reasons for denials, payor-specific challenges, and process inefficiencies.

• Bring relevant systemic issues to management along with suggested solutions.

• Independently prioritize issues and escalate matters that require leadership intervention.

• Provide regular updates on collection rate trends and progress towards the OKR.

• Enhance the company's overall collection rate by addressing outstanding claim issues before they escalate into write-offs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in a healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or accounts receivable setting.

• Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency in Excel for building and maintaining trackers, monitoring collection rates, and analyzing AR aging trends.

• Comfortable working directly within billing software to review claims and accounts receivable details.

• Strong independent judgment and confidence in making decisions and driving actions.

• Experience in identifying root causes of AR issues and coordinating cross-functional follow-up.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to distill complex AR issues into clear, actionable items for both team members and leadership.

• ABA billing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience with Tebra (formerly Kareo) is preferred but not mandatory.

• 1099 independent contractor classification.
