This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Functions as a team leader and senior technical member in the planning, design, development, implementation, and support of complex to moderately complex new or revised processes, systems, or networks.
• Serves as a recognized authority in one or more technical specialties and/or mission-critical application systems, providing leadership in design, development, and application integration.
• Ensures that functional and technical designs align with customer requirements.
• Gains an understanding of the Auto Club Group's business strategy and competitive landscape, translating and implementing these business strategies into technology solutions.
• Offers a high level of technical and/or application expertise along with design/programming leadership.
• Collaborates with the Security team to develop proper audit controls and procedures that ensure the protection and integrity of company resources.
• Creates work plans, estimates project timelines, and ensures that project team(s) and/or deliverables stay on schedule and within budget.
• Designs, builds, tests, and deploys complex integrations between Workday and third-party systems using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Develops and maintains data pipelines, datasets, and transformations in Workday Prism Analytics to integrate data from various sources and support advanced reporting needs.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of both Workday HCM (Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, etc.) and Financial Management (Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects) modules.
• Configures Workday business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and custom objects to meet business requirements.
• Creates and maintains custom, advanced, and matrix reports using Workday Report Writer, and develops interactive dashboards and Discovery Boards to provide key business insights.
• Investigates, analyzes, and resolves technical issues within the Workday platform, delivering ongoing production support and ensuring data integrity.
• Works closely with cross-functional HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Engages in Workday's semi-annual release cycles, including impact analysis, testing, and deployment of new features and functionalities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent level of work experience.
• Experience in designing, developing, implementing, or supporting complex to moderately complex information systems.
• Knowledge in building or supporting mainframe or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex business and technical issues.
• Experience in technology assessment, recommendations, and selection.
• Capability to provide technical consultation and leadership to project teams.
• Experience in staffing, coordinating, and leading large project teams or various smaller project teams.
• Skills in budgeting and expense control.
• Knowledge of mainframe, distributed, and/or web-based system design and development.
• Proficiency with database management systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages.
• Skills in prototyping.
• Knowledge of database design.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
• Understanding of multi-platform capabilities.
• Skills in user interaction.
• Proficiency with HTML and web development tools.
• Familiarity with system development tools (e.g., Endevor, IMS Expert, Xpediter, SQA Team Test, Eclipse).
