Applications Analyst II – Inpatient/Inventory Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Execute IT application implementation, optimization, and support tasks.

• Work on moderately to highly complex applications essential to operations.

• Operate independently with minimal technical guidance.

• Lead small to medium-sized complex projects with oversight.

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of application functionality through collaboration with senior staff, training, and documentation.

• Collaborate with end users to comprehend and define requirements.

• Identify methods to customize systems to meet individual needs.

• Construct and configure systems utilizing available application tools.

• Develop documentation for customized builds.

• Create test scenarios based on specified requirements.

• Conduct testing and identify issues.

• Investigate and resolve application and vendor product issues.

• Provide input for application implementation event plans.

• Support application implementation events, including occasional off-hours assistance.

• Enhance current functionality.

• Participate in testing software updates and upgrades.

• Address and resolve user-reported issues.

• Deliver customer service and establish expectations for issue resolution.

• Engage in an after-hours on-call rotation, approximately one week per month.

• Collaborate with vendor support personnel.

• Participate in vendor user groups and online listservs, and review vendor updates.

• Engage in cross-training as both a trainer and learner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of relevant experience OR Associate degree in information technology, finance, clinical field, or a related field and six (6) years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in information technology, finance, clinical field, or a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in supporting applications within a healthcare setting.

• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.

• Capability to adapt to changing priorities, initiatives, and tasks.

• Ability to collaborate within a team and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Skilled at clearly articulating findings and addressing inquiries related to the work.

• Capacity to convey complex information in an easily understandable manner.

• Competence to interpret data, recognize patterns, and derive meaning.

• Ability to analyze situations and make decisions based on available information.

• Proficient in identifying root causes, developing resolution strategies, improving processes, and innovating new methods.

• Capability to understand organizational needs and fulfill those requirements.

• Ability to sit frequently, with occasional standing and walking, and lift 5–10 lbs.

• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and related equipment.

• Ability to see computer screens, monitoring equipment, and reports.

• May require travel to a healthcare site or other designated locations.
