This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Provide support for information technology applications through planning, design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous support.

• Act as the senior technical and operational leader for Epic MyChart solutions.

• Design, develop, enhance, and support MyChart solutions that foster patient engagement and digital accessibility.

• Configure patient-facing workflows with an emphasis on patient experience, usability, and adoption.

• Support virtual care, on-demand services, pharmacy, and laboratory functionalities.

• Collaborate with clinical, operational, digital, and external vendor stakeholders.

• Analyze and troubleshoot stakeholder issues to identify resolutions.

• Gather, validate, and translate technology requirements into design and development specifications while overseeing product management.

• Configure, test, install, implement, monitor, and maintain complex systems, applications, workflows, processes, and hardware.

• Document and propose changes to workflows and technical/functional designs.

• Resolve intricate incidents and problems in accordance with service levels and departmental standards.

• Act as project manager for complex, cross-functional projects and oversee project transitions through governance processes.

• Review team projects, generate demand, manage resources, and formulate remediation plans.

• Mentor analysts and identify training opportunities.

• Establish technical best practices and standards in collaboration with peers, stakeholders, and vendors.

• Adhere to documentation and change-management standards.

• Create training and knowledge resources for peers, end users, and team members.

• Integrate electronic and mechanical hardware with software products.

• Develop and comprehend business reporting needs.

• Maintain thorough testing plans and scripts.

• Participate in various meetings, including team, project, department, workgroup, subcommittee, hospital leadership, vendor, and industry meetings.

• Assist with project and team budget forecasting, maintenance, adjustments, justifications, and approvals.

• Manage designated IT project and initiative portfolios, aligning them with IT strategy and business priorities.

• Monitor project benefits through KPIs and communicate results to senior leadership.

• Provide project information to aid leadership approval decisions.

• Conduct service reviews with facility and medical group executives and follow up on survey results and improvement processes.

• Participate in on-call and command center responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Current Epic certification in Patient Experience applications such as MyChart (required), preferably through version May 2026.

• Preferred experience with Cadence, Prelude, Welcome, Hello World, Cheers, Bedside, Care Companion, and ServiceNow.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables), Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Extensive business and application knowledge and experience.

• Knowledge of system analysis and operating systems, ideally in a hospital environment.

• Ability to assess needs and determine suitable approaches through documentation.

• Capability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting industry publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

• Proficient in writing reports, correspondence, and process documents.

• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries or complaints effectively.

• Experience leading projects utilizing project management principles and lifecycle controls.

• Skills in resource planning and strategic management.

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or a related field is required.

• Willingness and ability to certify in one or more Epic applications and maintain certification.

• Additional relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements upon approval from Supervisory and HR.

• Alternatively, eight years of experience in a healthcare setting and applications experience, with maintained Epic certification.

• Ability to participate in on-call and command center responsibilities.

• Candidates must not reside or plan to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington.
