This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and review new business and/or renewal submissions to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Negotiate terms and conditions of coverage as well as requirements.

• Provide accurate and timely quotes while binding policies.

• Collect and maintain comprehensive and organized underwriting documentation.

• Ensure adherence to state regulations and surplus lines mandates.

• Foster relationships with agents, internal teams, carriers, and external partners to uncover profitable growth opportunities.

• Meet production targets by cultivating a profitable book of business and increasing the number of policies in force and premium volume.

• Convey clear and concise information to stakeholders both in writing and verbally.

• Conduct research on agencies, carriers, and market data to support informed decision-making.

• Respond to inquiries in alignment with service-level standards while providing underwriting expertise.

• Educate agencies on available carriers and products, directing or referring opportunities outside the analyst's specialization.

• Adhere to service-level agreements and brokerage process stipulations.

• Align individual tasks with the broader priorities of the team and business unit.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines licenses (or the ability to obtain them within 45 days).

• Capability to identify, assess, analyze, and propose solutions to insurance requirements.

• Knowledge of and compliance with state-specific regulations regarding brokerage and applicable insurance laws.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage, influence, and negotiate with internal and external business stakeholders.

• Willingness to learn job-related software applications.

• Proficient in product knowledge, functional and technical skills, consultation abilities, interpersonal skills, negotiation, problem-solving, results orientation, work management, and decision-making quality.

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant insurance experience is preferred; a bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.

• Preferred undergraduate studies in business, risk management, or a related discipline.

• Experience in Commercial Lines insurance is preferred.

• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or equivalent are preferred.
