Application Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement plans for new product qualification and application development.

• Monitor and address customer line and field-related issues.

• Collaborate with plant operations, engineering, sales, and customers to resolve problems.

• Deliver product application training to clients.

• Assist with heat load calculations.

• Qualify new products for OEM/SSI OEM clients in North and East India.

• Provide the technical documentation required by customers.

• Discuss testing protocols and samples, and manage sample delivery and assessment.

• Tackle pilot production and post-field-testing challenges.

• Calculate heat loads and compile reports.

• Choose system components such as condensing units and expansion valves.

• Aid the sales team with optimal offers and converting inquiries into business.

• Offer support for post-sales installation and commissioning tasks.

• Analyze cold chain market trends and product development, preparing monthly reports.

• Identify opportunities for new product development and the promotion of innovative technologies.

• Develop annual plans in collaboration with sales, marketing, and potential customers.

• Execute plans, craft value narratives, and convert opportunities into business outcomes.

• Update customer issues in the Oracle service portal.

• Visit customers to gain insights into their issues and coordinate corrective measures.

• Organize compressor disassemblies and share insights when necessary.

• Coordinate manufacturing-related issues and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with the plant.

• Assist in the preparation of marketing and sales materials.

• Support channel partners by providing training, seminars, and product promotional activities.

• Engage in ISHRAE, cold chain, and other relevant industry forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-5 years or more of relevant experience.

• Proven experience with new product qualification and application development.

• Demonstrated experience in managing customer line and field issues.

• Experience in coordinating with plant operations, engineering, sales, marketing, and customers.

• Familiarity with supporting heat load calculations.

• Knowledge of cold chain and flow applications.

• Proficiency in selecting system components such as condensing units and expansion valves.

• Ability to prepare technical documentation and testing plans.

• Proficient in using the Oracle service portal.

• Willingness and ability to visit customers and engage in industry forums.

• Capability to support product training, seminars, and promotional activities.
